I greatly recommend this product. It's immersive enough to wear with our LARP kits and a reliable way to help our friend group find one another. I purchased the 4 pack as we were attending a larger than normal LARP event. I was a bit anxious as having your phones out & about was discouraged but these totems came in clutch! We were easily able to check on where our friends were in an immersive fashion/without breaking character, etc. They were reliable and really helped our coordination (and overall joy in seeing us walking around, having a great time, etc.). A decent amount of folks asked about them and were interested in getting some for their groups as well! These totems are well worth the investment and I plan on taking them to our next large LARP event. Thank you!!

Where to begin! Totem compass has been a game changer with being able to go directly to my people without needing them to answer the phone or read a text. No phone tag, no "hold on don't move, on my way" or "do you see the *insert random object*, im 250 paces to the east" π€¦πΌββοΈ
From local small venues, to massive multi-stage camping venues, or even your local state Faire, these are LIFESAVERS! its given us freedom to side quest till our hearts content without worrying about losing your crew.
Super simple to use and packed full of features. Practice using them in the parking lot to get the hang of it, keep them charged up (if the battery is dying they tend to free up, restart it to find your target, then get it charged) and make sure to keep the totem itself updated.
Simple, safe, connected, these are the three best takeaways I can offer. Totem compasses take the stress out of shows and give you a lifeline to the rest of your rave family.

The creators and staff are truly amazing, wonderful, wholesome souls. Met Carter at E.Forest because of his DCC shirt, only to find out heβs the founder. Him and his wife were actually in the middle of shooting a video of how totem works, when my friend and husband came up to Carter with me.
The product is an absolute game changer. The rest of the weekend we were strictly using our totems to find each other and running through the crowds to see how well they worked. I cannot recommend them enough and will be using them for every faire, concert and festival we go to. My husband is known for walking WAY too fast, forgetting people are around him and the king of side quests. Using the Totem compass will give me so much peace of mind when heβs off in his own little world.

Me and my Tribe used the Totem Compass for the first time and we had no problems finding each other or the one I used to make Home base with, I will highly recommend this product to anyone who attends large festivals, it's so simple I'm pretty sure my 4 and 5 Year old great nieces could operate and with a YouTube set-up video it's full proof in my opinion.
So at Electric Forest I personally got to meet Carter and Kailey and the rest of the team, there some of the most genuine people iv ever met, so down to earth and there not just to promote the Totem but to help out with any issues I might have or answer any questions, Carter did update my Totem for me he also gave me a couple of gifts the really sweet Totem Pin and a really nice collapsible fan πͺ.

How does the Totem Compass work?
Totems use GNSS to determine their locations, and then leverage theΒ Unity Mesh Networkβ’Β to communicate that location to each other without any cell service, wifi, or bluetooth. Our software uses that data to determine the directional heading of your friends, and guides you in their direction using a ring of pretty lights.Β Read more on our blog.
Can I use the Totem Compass indoors?
Some buildings and metal structures can interfere with the Totemβs satellite connection, making it difficult to reliably navigate to peers. For this reason, the Totem Compass is best used outdoors.
Pairing your Totem Compass with the Totem Compass App may help functionality in indoor environments.
Does it work on Cruise Ships?
Totems indicate the lateral direction of your friends, so they can't tell you when someone is above you or below you. It couldn't help you find what floor your tribe is on, but it could navigate to them if you were outside on the deck!
What if my group is larger than 8 people?
Your Totem Compass can only Bond with 7 othersβbut those Bonds donβt have to happen in a closed circle. If you are smart about how your groupΒ spreads their Bonds around, you can easily make sure that larger groups stay connected.
What happens when you get out of Range?
When a friend gets out of range, their Bond Light will dim and begin to breathe while itΒ continues to point you to their last known location.Β
In most cases, walking in that direction will get you back in range so their Bond Light can update again based on your friendβs real-time location.
Can I see the distance of my friend?
When you are within 100 meters from your friend,Β their Bond Light on your Totem will begin to expand, telling you that they are close by. As you get closer, their light gets larger and larger until you re-unite once again.
Are there software updates for the Totem Compass?
Yes! Performance-improving Software Updates are released regularly and areΒ completely free to download.Β Check the Totem Compass Setup Video for more detail.
What if it gets Wet?
Your Totem is built for outdoor events, so no need to worry about rain, sweat, or humidity. Just donβt go swimming with itβthey are not designed to be submerged in water or subjected to splashing without a waterproof case.
Can someone use a Totem to track me against my will?
The Totem Compass is designed with your safetyβand consentβin mind. Every Totem Compass contains a secure βkeyβ that ensures people can only track you if you choose to Bond with them.
Totems use a secure, two-way Bonding process that requires mutual consent from both people simultaneously. Totems can only be bonded when they are right next to each other, and you can delete someone at any time using Peer Management Mode.
Functions like these, layered on top of the Totemsβ secure keys, make it nearly impossible for anyone to track you without your consent or knowledge.
What if I don't want to be found?
This oneβs easyβsimply turn your Totem Compass off!
Does it work internationally?
Yes! The Totem Compass uses a global constellation of satellites to determine its location, meaning that your Totem will work beautifully anywhere in the world (as long as you have a clear view of the sky). Their communication protocol broadcasts on 2.4GHz, one of the only frequencies legal in 100% of countries worldwide.
