I absolutely LOVE my Totem Compass! I used it at Lost Lands and honestly, it was a lifesaver. Every time I went off searching for my partner in the crowd, it took me straight back to them. With how huge and chaotic Lost Lands can be, having the compass gave me so much peace of mind. It worked perfectly every time, and I’ll definitely be bringing it with me to every festival from now on! 10/10 recommend! 🦖🧭❤️

Totem was one of the best things we brought to Lost Lands this year. With huge crowds and unreliable cell service, being able to find our friends with the Compass made the weekend so much easier.

When my husband Tony’s Totem stopped working, I remembered the Totem Labs team was at the festival. I checked the app, saw their Live Support Totems, and went on my first-ever solo festival side quest to find them. 😂 I wasn’t even worried about losing my group because I knew my Totem would lead me right back.

I found Chase, explained what happened, and he replaced Tony’s Totem on the spot. I couldn’t believe how easy he made it.

Later, he invited us to a secret meetup where I somehow ended up with one of only 200 Cosmic Totems! We also got to meet Steve and Carter, and the whole team was amazing.

Our friends loved Totem so much we gave them one of ours, and our Lost Lands skins were waiting when we got home.

I purchased two Totem Compasses shortly after preorders opened in late 2024. While the rollout was admittedly slow and the product had some serious growing pains, I can finally say Totem Compass delivers on its promise! The Totem team has been RELIGIOUSLY updating the app and software, adding features and making improvements based on user feedback and real-world festival data.

After attending EDC and Lost Lands in previous years and struggling to find or communicate with one another, the concept was EXACTLY what we needed.

I first tried them at Beyond Wonderland PNW and Bass Canyon in 2025, but the app was either unavailable or borderline unusable, and remembering all the different flashing light patterns was a nightmare.

At Lost Lands 2025, I had high hopes after a fresh app update. Unfortunately, connecting to the app drained the battery in roughly FOUR HOURS, even in Eco Mode. I had all but given up, but I still believed in the concept.

Fast forward to Lost Lands 2026, and HOLY CRAP, what a difference a year makes!

After countless app updates and MAJOR software improvements, these things finally worked as intended!

Version 5 introduced named bonds and automatic calibration, meaning no more spinning around trying to get the compass to orient itself.

Our crew had FIVE compasses, and we had ZERO issues finding one another! Even when the compass itself wasn’t cooperating, we could open the app and navigate directly to whoever we were looking for.

A couple of things…

Hi, I’m the giraffe. I also love to side quest 😬. With little to no cell service totem is a game changer. Friend somehow got enough cell reception to say they were on the rail to which I replied, “stay there and have fun. I will meet up later with you. ” Two hours she found me in a complete different spot only known because of the compass location.

Perfect for any event regardless of having service or not. ‘Find my friends’, along with other location apps don’t give a good position once you’re nearby. Finding each other all day became a breeze.

Also provides one more light up accessory when not searching for your friends.

A must-have for Rock in Rio!

I bought the Totem Compass 4-Pack for my family to use at Rock in Rio in Brazil, and it turned out to be one of the best purchases we made for the festival.

With thousands of people around and a huge festival area, staying connected with my wife, daughter, and her friend was much easier with the Compass. It gave us much more peace of mind when we wanted to split up and explore different areas of the festival.

I was especially impressed with the delivery. I was worried the devices wouldn't arrive in time for Rock in Rio, but Totem shipped my order with express delivery and it arrived just in time for the festival. That made a huge difference.

We actually got to use the Compass in a real-world situation exactly as I had hoped when I first contacted Totem.

The setup was simple, the devices are easy to carry, and having a dedicated way to stay connected without constantly relying on our phones was extremely useful.

I would definitely recommend Totem Compass to anyone going to a large music festival, especially with family or friends.

Having been to many festivals and mobile signal becoming jammed, FindMy telling me the last update was 2h ago and texts not going through we looked for a better option. Came across these and decided to lay the money out for 4 (big gamble considering the price).

My mother ain’t great with directions. “Meet us near the accessible toilets we were using last night”. 20 minutes later, no sign of Mother so I whipped out the Totem and looked to see where it was saying the one I stashed in her CripMobile’s back bag (also known as a mobility scooter) and it showed her as over near Foodfest (nowhere near where she was supposed to be by a large gap). So, disbelieving the accuracy I followed it and was bemused as the pink bar was getting wider and wider until I look up and she’s 10m in front of me looking decidedly lost.

Next day, friends found us by following it across the festival.

I was sceptical, but they did deliver exactly what they said they would.

Only criticism would be battery life needs to be more.

I greatly recommend this product. It's immersive enough to wear with our LARP kits and a reliable way to help our friend group find one another. I purchased the 4 pack as we were attending a larger than normal LARP event. I was a bit anxious as having your phones out & about was discouraged but these totems came in clutch! We were easily able to check on where our friends were in an immersive fashion/without breaking character, etc. They were reliable and really helped our coordination (and overall joy in seeing us walking around, having a great time, etc.). A decent amount of folks asked about them and were interested in getting some for their groups as well! These totems are well worth the investment and I plan on taking them to our next large LARP event. Thank you!!
