Ensure your device is charged. Plug it in and look for the red charging light inside the Touch Crystal.
NOTE: Make sure you charge your Totem with a type USB-C to USB-A charging cable.
Your charging light will turn green when your Totem is fully charged.
If you are still unable to power on your Totem after it has charged, please click here to submit your feedback.
If your Totem's crystal is pulsing or "breathing" red, it means your Totem's battery is very low.
In this state, your Totem will automatically switch to Eco-mode to conserve power.
In Eco-mode, the lights will dim, Vibe Mode will stop, but you’ll still be able to navigate until the battery is fully drained.
To get back to full functionality, just give your Totem a charge!
If your Totem’s lights are dim, it's likely in Eco-mode, which conserves battery by dimming the lights and turning off Vibe Mode.
You can manually enter or exit Eco-mode by clicking the power button once while your Totem is on.
To bring your Totem's lights back to full brightness, exit Eco-mode!
You might be in Eco-mode!
Try clicking the power button once to exit Eco-mode and restore full functionality.
Make sure your Totem is in the vertical orientation, as Vibe Mode only works when it’s hanging vertically.
If Vibe Mode is still not working, share your feedback with us and we’ll help you fix it!
Make sure your red light behind the SOS button is blinking—this tells you that SOS alerts are turned on.
If you can’t get the red light to blink, it may be a device malfunction. Head to our Feedback Portal to report the issue.
If the red light is blinking, ensure you are bonded to those friends by doing a Crystal Check.

To Bond your Totems, make sure they’re less than one inch apart.
We recommend the crystal 'tip to tip' method for the best results! 😉
Press and hold the Touch Crystals on both devices at the same time.
Reminder: your Totem can hold up to 4 bonds, and you can only bond with one Totem at a time.
Still having trouble? Try rebooting both Totems and give it another go!
Before navigating, make sure to calibrate your Totem by spinning in a complete circle while holding it in Compass Mode (horizontal orientation).
This makes sure your navigation is accurate.
If the Bond Light still seems off, double-check that you're bonded to the person you're navigating to. You can only navigate to someone if you're bonded correctly.
Remember: the Bond Light might not always point directly at your friend's chest, but it should guide you in the general direction.
If it's still acting strange, try recalibrating or restarting your Totem.
Try rebooting your Totem by powering it off and back on.
If that doesn’t solve the issue, it sounds like you may be experiencing a device malfunction.
Head to our Feedback Portal to report the problem, and we’ll get it sorted out!
Is your Totem wet?💧
Try drying it off—when your Totem is wet, it behaves similarly to how your phone behaves when exposed to moisture.
If that doesn’t solve the issue, try switching your Totem to Vibe Mode (vertical orientation) and then tilting it back into Compass Mode (horizontal orientation).
