The DBxNN discount code has expired, and the in-app festival map, activations, and Dirtybird Games features described below were specific to that event. Totem is the Official Offline Technology Partner for Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights Music Festival

We're thrilled to announce that Totem is the first-ever official onsite communication partner for the upcoming Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights Music Festival from July 18-20 in Northern California!

This event is an epic collaboration between two iconic festivals—combining Dirtybird's legendary gamification experiences with Northern Nights' beautiful off-grid location, nestled in a remote pocket of the majestic redwood forests. Now, with the help of Totem, attendees can experience the festivals like never before: fully connected, but completely offline.

Both Northern Nights and Dirtybird Campout share one key ethos: embracing the power of disconnecting from the sea of digital noise to dive into immersive, authentic experiences. Historically, cell service at these events has been nonexistent. This year, festival-goers can finally navigate the festival grounds, stay effortlessly connected with friends, and unlock exclusive experiences—all through Totem’s revolutionary offline tech.

Disconnect to Reconnect

True to the festival spirit, the Totem Compass helps attendees disconnect from online distractions and reconnect to immerse themselves deeply into both festivals’ vibrant communities. This year, the Totem Compass App will become both Dirtybird Campout and Northern Nights’ first-ever Official Festival App—offering festival-goers a new way to spark connections, adventures, and spontaneous fun, completely offline.

Offline Connectivity & Navigation

With a Totem Compass in hand, attendees can effortlessly stay connected with their friends, ensuring no one misses out due to set conflicts, bathroom breaks, or spontaneous side quests ever again. For the first time in Dirtybird Campout or Northern Nights history, the Totem Compass App will feature a fully interactive, offline map packed with navigable waypoints for essential resources:

  • Stages
  • Restrooms
  • Food and drink areas
  • Medical stations
  • Lost & Found
  • Guest services, and more

Just tap on a waypoint and your Totem Compass leads the way—no cell service or internet needed.

Daily Activations & Exclusive Events

The Totem Compass App will guide attendees to daily activations, including exclusive cannabis experiences and thrilling scavenger hunts. Navigate seamlessly with geolocation waypoints, collect rewards, and be the first to know about winners and key event updates—all completely offline.

Take the Dirtybird Games to New Heights

That's not all! Totem is taking the Dirtybird Games to new heights as the festival’s official crowd activator, rallying attendees and amplifying team spirit. Your Totem Compass’ Touch Crystal color will represent your assigned team, fueling friendly competition throughout the weekend. Totems will track player movement, feeding real-time team stats to a central hub, energizing the entire festival.

And don’t miss the grand finale: On Sunday, July 20th at 4:00 pm, every Totem Compass onsite will illuminate simultaneously, displaying a vibrant celebratory animation in the winning team's colors. It’s the ultimate festival-wide climax you won’t want to miss!
