Thank You, Totem Investors: Celebrating Our WeFunder Community Round

In August 2026, Totem’s WeFunder Community Round officially closed, raising $1,358,325 from our community.

That number still doesn’t feel real. Behind it are festival friends, parents, engineers, longtime Totem Tuesday readers, and people who first met us through a glowing Compass on a stranger’s chest. They all decided to become owners of the company they believe in.

When we opened the round, we promised every investor a public thank-you, by name, right here on the Totem website. This is that thank-you. (And honestly? It’s long overdue. 💜)

How Totem’s WeFunder Community Round Went

We first announced the round in August 2025. The idea was simple: Totem has always been built in public with our community, so our community deserved a chance to own a piece of it. (Our original post, How to Invest in Totem with WeFunder, explains why.)

• Winter 2025: Private Access. People who had already told us they wanted to invest got first access, and the response blew us away. December 8 and 9 alone brought in a wave of new investors.
• January 2026: our first investor webinar. Carter and Chase shared the long-term roadmap and early prototypes on “The Future of Totem.”
• February 2026: the public launch. The round opened to the wider WeFunder community. Our February update covers that chapter.
• August 2026: the round closed at $1,358,325, against our $2M goal.

Along the way, our investors asked sharp questions, cheered us on in the comments, came to our webinar, and kept us honest. That’s exactly the kind of community we hoped to build when we started sending Totem Tuesday every week.
